Evening Walk around Dilworth Mountain Park

Wednesday May 8, 2024 -- Lisa's Dad came to visit and we did a short walk around Dilworth Mountain Park, with great views across Kelowna to Okanagan Lake, and over the Golf Course below. The arrowleaf balsamroot flowers were still blooming splendidly. We got to the park at about 6 p.m. for a nice mild evening walk of about an hour.

The robin, a very Canadian bird. 

This cute bird is a white-crowned sparrow, so much prettier than the regular city sparrows!

We sat on a bench for about 20 minutes before continuing on our walk.

The cliff is steep here. 

And from the south side of the park, we can see the bus depot below, and the complex where Mom lives just across the old railway "track". 

The entire forest floor is COVERED in arrowleaf balsamroot flowers, the official flower of the city of Kelowna!

Entrance to the Dilworth Mountain Park. We were here for about an hour, headed back home at about 7 p.m. 

Heading back home, we can see the fence at the top of the cliff where we walked along. Between here and the cliff is the golf course.
